AQUA BREATH: The perfect material for Japan's hot, humid, and rainy climate

Aqua Breath, a new material from Teton Bros., is featured in the July issue of PEAKS, released on June 15th.
Myoko-based Shunsuke Komamura shared his impressions of the Shell, Tsurugi Lite Jacket 2.0 and Breath Jacket 2.0, which use Aqua Breath.

By changing the material from Neo Shell to Aqua Breath, I feel that it is lighter, softer, and easier to move in.
The water resistance has also been significantly improved, making it resistant to rain from outside, yet still retaining the same excellent breathability as before, making it easy to evaporate and not stuffy. The biggest change, I feel, is the significant improvement in lightness. It is 65g lighter than the previous model, and since the weight of clothing has a big impact when running long distances, I think the lightness will have a big impact as the distance increases.
The distinctive diagonal main zipper is a double zipper, which provides excellent ventilation. With regular jackets, ventilation is achieved by lowering the zipper, which can cause the collar to flap, but with the Tsurugi Lite Jacket 2.0 and Breath Jacket 2.0, you can open the zipper from the bottom as much as you need, and the Breath Jacket 2.0 also has ventilation under the armpits, allowing for instant ventilation.
In terms of how to wear them, the Tsurugi Lite Jacket 2.0 is worn over a backpack, while the Breath Jacket 2.0, which has a tighter design for mountain running, is worn over a trail running backpack.
