The ultimate hybrid wool AXIO SERIES

The "Axio Series" was released as part of the MOB (Master of Bishu) lineup starting with this spring/summer model and is selling like hotcakes.

Oshu refers to the area from the western part of Aichi Prefecture to parts of Gifu Prefecture, and is famous as a region where textile production has been active since ancient times due to the rich natural environment of the Kiso River basin.
It is renowned alongside Italy's wool-producing region, "Viella," and craftsmen in various fields continue to preserve its traditions.

Teton Bros. recognized this great potential and was able to create both MOB and Axio, products that combine Japanese craftsmanship with the technology, pride, and dreams of a local brand.

Axio is a hybrid wool made from Oshu wool and polyester, and the weight of each T-shirt is less than 100g. The yarn is developed and processed in Oshu, taking full advantage of the advantages of wool and synthetic fibers. With the common goal of creating the most functional hybrid wool in the world, the cost was of course incomparably higher, but they succeeded in developing a material that surpasses the performance of popular wools from other companies.

The fabric is knitted with a hybrid yarn based on 50% wool and 50% poly, and its structure is characterized by the wool on the outside of the spun bundle and polyester fibers on the inside, arranged in a spiral pattern (see the diagram below).

While conventional products have polyester material wrapped around the outside of the wool, Axio has fibers spiraled inside the yarn, making the surface smooth, comfortable to the touch, and less prone to pilling.

The ultimate hybrid wool AXIO SERIES

The filament is made of polyester fiber with an irregular cross section, which not only absorbs moisture quickly but also has a cooling function. The use of irregular cross section yarn makes the surface smooth, and the use of synthetic fiber gives it excellent durability without compromising the performance of wool.

Most wool and hybrid wool products are water-repellent, so when you sweat a lot, moisture remains on the skin surface, causing discomfort. However, Axio, despite being made of wool, has excellent moisture absorption and diffusion properties, quickly absorbing and diffusing moisture to keep the skin surface dry, and then diffusing the absorbed moisture to dry the fabric in a short time. Even while moisture remains in the fabric, the wool's properties prevent you from getting cold from sweat.

Axio is a product that can be used for a variety of activities, except in the height of summer, such as trekking from spring to summer, high-altitude trail running, and long mountain trips. The wool's odor-resistant properties, quick-drying properties, and heat-generating properties reduce the risk of hypothermia due to getting wet, and the thin, stretchy fabric makes it a product that also increases comfort in everyday life.
