Nabata Arisa enjoys outdoor activities to the fullest throughout the year, including trail running, mountain climbing, climbing, and mountain biking.
Nabata says, "One of the joys of being in the mountains is trying out the essential items for your activity," and here are his impressions of the base layer, a product he loves to use when playing in the mountains.
The biggest concern in spring and summer is dealing with sweat.
Teton Bros. products are especially useful in many situations during my spring and summer activities.
The biggest concern during the spring and summer seasons is dealing with sweat. The amount of sweat varies depending on the activity, and it also varies greatly depending on the field.
Teton Bros. products have something for every activity I do, and I use each one for its own merits.
Generally, when layering in spring and summer, I usually wear one or two base layers and then adjust with a thin shell.
So, when it comes to base layers, I always have two choices: synthetic or a blend (synthetic and wool).
For low mountains in the summer, use the synthetic fiber "ELV1000" series.
I love the "Axio Lite" series, which is made of a wool and polyester blend, for low mountains in spring and autumn and high mountains in summer.
Lightweight, ultra-water-repellent base layer
ELV1000 S/S Tee
ELV1000 Non-Sleeve
This series is ultra-lightweight and has a water-repellent fabric, making it highly breathable, and the water-repellent fabric allows sweat to bead up and roll off.
The fabric absorbs sweat and doesn't stick to the skin, making it perfect for trail running or mountain biking in the summer when you sweat a lot! It's an item I always buy as an extra pair to have on hand when I need to wash them.
I use the short sleeves for mountain biking and the sleeveless for trail running.
Starting this season, the fabric has been made more stretchy, making it easier to move around in even with the tight design, so it's sure to be even more useful!

Wool and synthetic hybrid material
Axio Lite Tee
Merino wool was something I had no connection with, as I started hiking through trail running.
After that, I started climbing snowy mountains and tried wearing 100% merino wool, but the fabric became heavy as it absorbed sweat, making it a bit difficult for me as I sweat a lot and am sensitive to the cold.
At the time, I was struggling with this, but then I came across a thin fleece made from a Teton Bros. blend, and I began to think that maybe something with a half-measure ratio would suit me.
When the "Axio Lite Tee" came out, I bought it immediately.
When trekking through the high mountains in the summer, the deodorizing properties of the wool mean that you won't smell even if you wear it day after day, and the synthetic material dries sweat well.
I also experienced how comfortable and warm wool was, even in the mornings and evenings when the temperature dropped.
The Axio Lite Tee is made from a blend of synthetic fiber and wool, which dries sweat and is comfortable to wear, making it perfect for summer mountain climbing.
Also, the thinness of the Axio Lite makes it perfect for the Alps in summer!
It is also great for activities such as climbing and hiking in low mountains in spring and autumn, which cause less sweating than trail running.
There are many activities for which I end up choosing the Axio Lite Tee, so it's an item that makes me want to have another one.
