Noriyoshi Takahashi, a staff member at Sakaiya Sports in Kanda, Tokyo, who regularly enjoys fastpacking and trail running, shared his impressions of this season's new Graphene Pant.
The reason I can't let go of these pants is that they are in a good way, half-baked, or versatile, and just right for a variety of outdoor activities.
The grid fleece, made with Graphene, a next-generation material made from carbon atoms with excellent properties, keeps you dry and comfortable while preventing overheating and warming you with far-infrared rays in cold temperatures. The simple silhouette allows for easy movement and is versatile enough to be worn as an inner layer for cold-season running, trekking, winter mountain climbing, and skiing, making these pants your favorite winter essential.
I've been wearing it in a variety of situations since last year before it was released, and I've found that when hiking in the low mountains in my favorite seasons of autumn and winter, I can walk comfortably in just this one piece, from the approach to the descent.
On the ridge where the wind picks up and it feels chilly, I layered the Wind River Pants for added warmth. The Wind River Pants themselves are light and easy to move in, so even layering them over the Graphene Pants feels comfortable and light to wear. What's more, they wick away sweat well, providing just the right amount of warmth, making this a combination that's sure to become addictive.
The Graphene Pant is not as slim as tights, but has a sleek jogger-like silhouette.
I find them very useful because I can wear them even after coming down from the mountain. In winter, I wear graphene pants all the time, even at home. I love the simplicity of being able to wake up with a cup of coffee and go for a run right away on cold mornings.

Of course, these pants are also great for snowy low mountains and skiing. Simply layer overpants and enjoy the whole day.
I wear these pants in all sorts of situations, so I seriously think that I might not be able to get through winter without them, even though it may sound a bit exaggerated.
