The important elements of BC skiwear are "ease of movement" and "ease of handling."

We received impressions from Yukiko Miyano, a Teton Bros. contracted guide.

Performance required in a variety of situations

As a ski guide and instructor, I am required to work in a variety of snowy situations.

For example, if you're spending the whole day on the slopes taking lessons, your activity level will be low, so staying as warm as possible is a high priority. You also need to be able to show your body movements, so a good silhouette is important.

With overseas products, the length of the jacket may not fit properly or the waist of the pants may be off, ruining the silhouette, but the WS TB Jacket & Pant is perfect.

A female skier who took a lesson from me the other day said to me, "Isn't there any other ski wear that fits your body that well?! You can see your leg movements clearly and it looks great. It's amazing!" I couldn't help but smile broadly, thinking, "I got you!"

Required elements for backcountry skiing

When it comes to backcountry skiing, heat retention and breathability are of course important, but I also believe that "ease of movement" and "ease of handling" are important factors.

I've been using the WS TB Jacket & Pant since last season, and when I first picked them up and put them on, I was immediately impressed by how soft the fabric was. It's no exaggeration to say that Teton Bros.' original NeoShell is perfect. Softness can often feel unreliable, but even at high activity levels, I can move without any discomfort or stress, resistant to friction or wear.

WS TB Jacket and Pants Benefits

One of the reasons is that you can put a beacon in your pants pocket and still hike and ski comfortably. Obviously, women have breasts, so it's very uncomfortable for them to cram everything in front of their chest. For example, if you have a cell phone, tissues, lip balm, and a walkie-talkie in your breast pocket, the space in front of your body becomes cramped and unbearable.

Putting a beacon in your pants pocket makes sense when using it, and making it easier to move around also helps reduce fatigue.

What I particularly like about the jacket in terms of ease of use is its wide cuffs. When BC is done in the middle of winter, you have to wear gloves for all work, and the wide cuffs mean you can put the jacket on and take it off while still wearing gloves to regulate your body temperature. This is a major advantage, especially for women who tend to get cold hands.

The ventilation is also located on the front of the body, so it's easy to find even when wearing a helmet and goggles, and it's easy to open and close, so it's great that you can regulate your body temperature without having to hold back.

Even the slightest inconvenience can become a huge burden if it accumulates.

How can you make your time on the snowy mountains comfortable and satisfying? Form, functionality, ease of movement, etc. There are countless factors to consider, but we hope you will cherish your own unique preferences and be embraced by nature.
