Impressions from active women [Windshell/Rainwear]

Nabata Arisa enjoys outdoor activities to the fullest throughout the year, including trail running, mountain climbing, climbing, and mountain biking.

The lightweight wind shell "WS Wind River Hoody" is worn over a base layer when it's chilly, windy, or sunny.
The "WS Breath Runner" is used as a thermal garment for spring and summer activities.
Here are my impressions of the WS Oze Jacket, a rainwear item that I love to use because of its ease of use.

The wind shell that I wear the most in the mountains by far

WS Wind River Hoody

The nylon (Pertex Quantum Air) used in Teton Bros. wind shells, including the Wind River Hoody, is highly stretchable and has a textured structure that prevents it from sticking to the skin even when you sweat, so I love how comfortable it is to wear.

[Summer camping in a tent on Mt. Jigatake and Mt. Kashimayari] The Wind River Hoody is essential even in the high mountains in summer. Above the tree line, the wind and sunlight are strong, so I always wear it over a T-shirt.

It's also lightweight and compact, making it the perfect item to have in your backpack as a safety net. You can quickly throw it on when it gets chilly, and since it has thumbholes and a hood, it can also be used as a sunshade in the high mountains in the summer.

[Hiking in Izumiyama, Okayama] Okayama has many mountains with beautiful ridgelines, and Izumiyama is one of them. When it's chilly or the sun is strong, the lightweight Wind River Hoody is convenient.

I bought my second one last year as it now has a double zipper, and I feel that it's even easier to use now that you can ventilate by opening and closing the zipper.

Among various activities, I wear a wind shell the most when trail running. The Wind River Hoody's stretch and softness allow me to wear it comfortably.

Octa provides excellent dynamic warmth
Insulation

WS Breath Runner

Active insulation is a thermal garment worn while on the move that is especially useful in winter, but I wear it in a variety of situations throughout the year.

Octa has excellent dynamic heat retention, so I wear it as thermal clothing in the mountains in spring and autumn, and in the Alps in summer. For example, when I'm stuck hiking in the Alps, I like to use the ``WS Breath Runner'', which uses Octa instead of down.

[Sleep camping in Nishihotaka] The WS Breath Runner is perfect for the May weather in the Northern Alps. It keeps you warm and comfortable.

Furthermore, it is a warm garment that is "just right" for keeping you moving when the temperature is low, such as at dawn, and is more versatile than down, so this "just right" quality is perhaps one of the product's major advantages.
It can also be used as cold weather clothing in spring and autumn in low mountains outside the Alps!

[Summer camping in a tent on Mt. Jigatake and Mt. Kashimayari] The WS Breath Runner is the best way to stay warm during early morning summit attacks, which is the best part of camping in a tent! It doesn't have an Octa on the back, so you won't get too hot even with a backpack on.

Instead of placing the Octa all over the body, it is not used on the back or underarms where sweat tends to accumulate, making it just right - not too hot and not too cold!

[Multi-pitch climbing on Mt. Sebiko in spring] Multi-pitch climbing in the moderate spring weather results in minimal sweat, so the WS Breath Runner is useful even in early spring activities.

It's a convenient luxury item that kills two birds with one stone, serving as both a fleece and a wind shell.

My favorite rainwear because it's comfortable and breathable

WS Oze Jacket

The reason I chose the WS Oze Jacket over the popular Tsurugi Lite Jacket, a spring/summer product, is that it has all the features I look for in rainwear, such as Velcro cuffs, a hood that can be worn with a helmet, a full zipper, and front pockets. Another big plus was that it doesn't focus too much on being lightweight, and yet manages to strike a good balance between breathability and weight despite its extensive functionality.

[Winter lead climbing practice] When lead climbing in winter, hard shells make it difficult to move around, and soft shells are a bit bulky, so I use the Oze Jacket. The soft fabric doesn't restrict movement, and I'm grateful that I can wear a helmet.

The fabric is highly breathable and water-repellent, so it doesn't get stuffy even during hot summer rains, and I like how it's comfortable to wear even when I'm moving around for long periods of time.

[Summer camping at Mt. Jigatake and Mt. Kashimayari] It's great for wind and cold protection when the temperature is low in the early morning. It's soft and comfortable to wear, and doesn't get stuffy, so I like it as rainwear in the summer.

[Spring Trail Running on Mount Reisen] This popular mountain is known for its beautiful views of the karst terrain near the summit. In March, when the wind is strong and snow is still falling, the Oze Jacket is perfect for keeping warm while trail running.
