I was attracted to them from the moment I first met them [WS TB Jacket / WS TB Pant]

A ski guide and ski instructor living in Niseko.
Yukiko Miyano, who runs camps, workshops, and private sessions based on skiing and Pilates, has shared her impressions of the "WS TB Jacket" and "WS TB Pant."
I work both as a ski instructor and ski guide, and there are two things I value most when it comes to clothing: functionality for mountain activities and a silhouette that shows movement.
Before I discovered Teton Bros., I had a hard time finding clothing that satisfied both of these needs. I was frustrated by this indecisive situation and had almost given up, thinking, "If you chase two rabbits, you catch neither." But four years ago, I discovered Teton Bros., and I remember being thrilled when they perfectly combined the two values I was looking for.
The most difficult thing when climbing and skiing on snowy mountains is regulating your temperature. "When I start climbing in the peak season when temperatures are below freezing and I'm still wearing my shell, within 10 minutes my body starts to warm up from the inside and I start to sweat. I try to open the ventilation to avoid overheating, but because I'm wearing gloves, I can't get a good grip on the zipper. When I finally get a hold of the zipper and try to open it, the fabric gets twisted and it gets stuck halfway through."
Even small things can cause stress to build up.
Not only is the zipper on the TB Jacket easy to grip, but the ventilation is positioned diagonally from the front to the side, allowing you to open and close it with both hands. It also doesn't get in the way even when wearing a backpack, so you can open and close it at any time.
Another feature is the wide cuffs. This allows you to easily put on and take off the jacket even while wearing thick gloves, allowing for frequent temperature adjustments. This is especially noteworthy for women, whose hands tend to get cold easily and many wear thick gloves throughout the season. Not only are they wide, but they also have long Velcro straps that allow you to adjust the opening, which is great.
The material has changed significantly since last season. It's a major upgrade in durability and lighter weight without sacrificing breathability. When you first hold it in your hands, you'll be amazed at how soft it is and exclaim, "What is this?" And the cutting and stretch at the joints, which don't restrict movement at all, are exactly what you've been waiting for.
Upper body movements, primarily shoulders, when shouldering skis or a backpack, and lower body movements, primarily hips and knees, when repeatedly lifting legs or climbing. Increasing the range of motion in these two movements will be a great help for women who are less physically strong and muscular. Even if each individual load is small, they can add up and lead to significant fatigue.
Another benefit is that you can show off your moves during ski lessons.
When I was skating, I didn't feel any stress from the stiffness of my clothing, and my body moved with such smoothness that it felt great. I really felt this after I injured my knee.
I have thicker than average menisci (discal menisci) and am prone to injury, but years of stress have made it impossible for me to give up knee supports. I thought I would have to go up one size to wear the supports, but I was able to wear them without any problems and ski without any strain. Without this stretch, I think it would have had a major impact on my skiing.
The WS TB Jacket and WS TB Pant were fascinating from the moment I first encountered them, and they have continued to evolve and improve over time, becoming indispensable companions.
