Serac Pants
Serac Pants
Lightweight and easy to use even when climbing snowy mountains
These touring pants, renowned for their ease of movement, have been updated. The material has been changed to "Täsmä," a 50-denier stretch nylon. While maintaining their relaxed stretch, these pants are now lighter and more flexible, making them ideal for ski touring and snowy mountain climbing. The higher waist prevents the pants from slipping down due to interference with a backpack hip belt. Simple articulation ensures unrestricted knee movement, and the edge guards are made of high-strength nylon with excellent cut resistance. Powter gaiters are fitted to the cuffs, and lining has been added to the inside of the shell below the knees to prevent damage caused by interference with boot buckles while hiking.

Maintenance Guide
Use a neutral detergent and do not use fabric softener or bleach (detergents containing fabric softener will reduce the water repellency).
Please close all zippers and Velcro fasteners before washing.
Rinse at least twice
Do not use the spin-dry function of the washing machine as this may damage the fabric or cause damage to the washing machine itself.
Do not tumble dry or dry clean
After washing, immediately reshape the garment and dry it in a well-ventilated, shady place.
If the water-repellent properties have deteriorated, iron the garment using a pressing cloth (low temperature setting).

FEATURES
-
High waist
The medium-high waist with a high back eliminates interference with the hip belt of a backpack. The Velcro adjusters on both sides allow for fine adjustment of the waist size. -
Ventilation and pockets
The outside of the thighs are equipped with wide-open ventilation, and ample pockets are provided in case you don't need a jacket during spring touring. -
Thigh pocket
There is a loop inside the right pocket, the end of which is sewn directly into the pants body and reinforced with darts for maximum strength. -
裾
The zipper and snap buttons allow you to adjust the leg width to three positions. The widest position is the same width as the TB PANT, and is compatible with everything from hiking boots to ski/snowboard boots. -
"Täsmä" fabric logo (3 layers)
The vertical lines represent breathability, while the horizontal lines represent the multi-layer structure. This logo is used on TETON BROS.'s unique waterproof and breathable material, "Täsmä," which combines high breathability and waterproofness.

Tasm
This next-generation waterproof and breathable material was developed in collaboration with Toray. It features an electrospun ESP membrane, which sprays multiple layers of microscopic polyurethane fibers. The multiple layers of microscopic mesh block moisture while allowing physical ventilation. This makes it "breathable" rather than "breathable." Another distinctive feature is its soft feel, which is hard to believe for a waterproof and breathable material. The outer fabric is made of high-strength nylon, combining durability and lightness. Mechanical stretch provides ample flexibility despite being 100% nylon. The lining is made of a moisture-wicking, quick-drying 20-denier knit backer, combining a supple texture with high functionality, resulting in a well-balanced material with high waterproofness and breathability.
If you wash it yourself, please use a neutral detergent. Never use fabric softener or bleach. When washing, always wash by hand and gently press the garment. Do not use the hand wash cycle on a washing machine.
After washing, rinse thoroughly to remove any remaining detergent. If detergent remains, the water-repellent properties will be reduced. (Surfactants are substances that bind water and oil, so if detergent remains on the fabric, it will significantly reduce the water-repellent properties of the fabric surface.)
The same applies if the surface fabric is clogged with tiny particles of dirt, and particles remaining in the gaps in the fabric often cause a decrease in water repellency and water to seep in. After rinsing, dry in the shade and iron when half-dry, but do so at a low temperature and take care not to unravel the fabric. Do not use a dryer.
